Zheka from a provincial town lives alone and sees no prospects for his own future. He buried his ambitious dreams of the big stage long ago and only occasionally raps at local weddings. His life changes in one moment when he learns about the existence of his eight-year-old daughter in the capital. Zheka goes to Kyiv to prove to her that he is worthy of being a father, but accidentally ends up at the casting of a big musical show. The glossy and cynical world of television becomes his only chance to be heard by his own daughter, to correct the mistakes of the past and find true love.
