Carl is an aloof bookstore salesman who delivers books to his special readers every day. One day, nine-year-old Shasha comes across his path, who persistently wants to become his assistant. She breaks the established rules of a bookworm, but she manages to win the hearts of book lovers. At the same time, the girl tries to lead the man out of his isolated world, and very soon their sudden acquaintance turns into a touching friendship.
