The Italian president, nicknamed "Iron Concrete" for his steadfastness, is spending his last months in office. A respected leader who has overcome six state crises now has three problematic documents awaiting his signature. This is a pardon for two convicts and a decision that threatens to divide society - the law on euthanasia. If he signs the last one, he will become a murderer, if not - an executioner. But the forty-year-old mystery torments him the most: who was the lover of his late wife?
