After the death of their mother, two adult daughters find out that the family house still belongs to their father - a famous director who left the family many years ago. He reappears in their lives, trying to restore the relationship and offers his eldest daughter - a theater actress - a role in his film. When she refuses, her father finds a Hollywood star instead and begins preparations for filming in the house where several generations of the family have lived.
