The film tells the story of a scholarship student who went to New Zealand to continue medical research at a prestigious university. Wei is shy, withdrawn, and has a genetic birthmark on her face that she hides. She is shunned by a popular cousin with friends. Determined to change her destiny, she immerses herself in research on her late father and works on a revolutionary skin transplant procedure that could heal her face. But as the experiments take a dark turn, she becomes dangerous and wants to eliminate anyone who threatens her secret.
