A thrilling story based on true events from Paramount Pictures Berlin, 1940, Aryan-looking blondes are banned from performing jazz. A brilliant career is instantly destroyed due to the fact that Stella is from a Jewish family. All the family's attempts to emigrate to America remain futile. Eventually, when the Gestapo begins an open manhunt, the family is trapped. Under pressure, the girl makes a "deal with the devil" and agrees to become a Nazi agent. For the sake of her own salvation, she gains the trust of Jews who are hiding and turns them over to the Gestapo. Everyone makes their choice, but on the conscience of this "angel of death" almost 3000 victims...
