When Jessica returns home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice develops an unexpected attachment to a teddy bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement. Alice begins to play games with Chauncey that seem innocent at first, but become increasingly sinister as time goes on. Jessica intervenes after observing a disturbing change in Alice's behavior and realizes that Chauncey is something far more terrifying than her cute childhood stuffed toy.
