1970s. Andrii Dovzhenko is a young, creative, freedom-loving person who faces a terrible truth. Having been labeled an "anti-Soviet element" for his love of Western rock music, which was banned in the USSR, and falling into the grip of the brutal Soviet system, he finds out that most of the accused under the same article are sent not to prison, but to special psychiatric hospitals, receiving the diagnosis of "indolent schizophrenia" invented in the offices of the KGB as a sentence. Andriy falls into the real hell of punitive psychiatry. He is faced with a difficult choice - to cooperate with the KGB and return to his family, or to defy the system, embarking on a path of struggle against it.
