On July 17, 2014, Malaysian Boeing Flight MH17, with 283 passengers and 15 crew members on board, was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. The plane was shot down by a Buk missile controlled by pro-Russian separatists while flying over the eastern Ukrainian regions where the war broke out in 2014. The fictional scenes of the film show various scenarios related to the theme of the film. Through dance, performance, music, installations and video art, the film seeks to focus attention on the surreal circumstances of the case. Various documentary episodes, including found footage collages, archival footage, interviews and observations, will alternate with fictional ones. Thanks to this visualization, the viewer gets a chance to see the event from different angles and at different times, connecting the crimes of the past with the present.
