Added to all this are the hostile anonymous notes he receives, which threaten his work at school, a graduate student who wants to get the grade he needs by any means necessary, and an attractive neighbor who torments Larry by sunbathing naked. And it's a little surprising why Larry seeks to solve his existential problems by turning to priests, who he hopes will help him become more strict and loving.
