The main character of the film, Vlada Koza, sells her house in the Carpathians and flies to sunny Sicily to live with her daughter and help take care of her grandson. But it turns out that no one was waiting for her mother's arrival... After a quarrel with her daughter, Vlada accidentally ends up at the villa of the once powerful Italian mafioso Don Fredo, now a widower who is going through deep personal, family and financial crises. Vlada gets a job as a cleaner, but becomes the savior of this house: a mother for Don Fredo's children and a reformer of the old, ineffective and, most importantly, inhuman mafia.
