A girl named Alma, who aspires to become a pianist, receives an inheritance from her grandfather - a house on an island, where she plans to practice music. One day, Alma shelters a she-wolf with cubs, which was previously taken care of by the girl's grandfather. Coincidentally, at the same time, a plane carrying a small lion to the local circus crashes over the island. Everyone who was on the plane dies, except for the lion cub, which falls directly into Alma's hands. Thus, the wolf and the lion find a home on the island, and the she-wolf helps the girl to become an animal. When the she-wolf disappears, Alma begins to take care of the baby on her own. The wolf cub and the lion cub grow up together and become inseparable, and the girl gives up music for them. Over time, the animals turn into predators, dangerous to everyone except their mother, which Alma became.
