Years have passed since the father left his children Steven and Michelle. Their mother has remarried, Michelle gets along great with her new stepfather and half-sister Castle, but her brother Stephen does not accept the new family members and becomes increasingly nervous and withdrawn. He begins to be haunted by dark visions from the past. As these memories take shape, Stephen begins to suspect that his father never abandoned them, but instead encountered diabolical forces. When his grandmother commits a shocking act that exposes the sins of their close-knit Catholic community under the watchful eye of the powerful Monsignor Canelli, the same forces come for him.
