16th century. Ivan, a young peasant boy, steals jewels from the Tsar of Moscow in order to redeem his mother from Turkish captivity. Among the loot is a magical earring that made the lord invincible. The angry tsar sends his best warrior, the merciless Fedor, to search for the impudent. Hiding from the pursuer, Ivan loses the treasure, and the valuable artifact ends up in Zaporozhye Sich. Now the boy and his friends have a long journey to return the relic, save their mother and avoid falling into the enemy's clutches.
