Amulet

A former combatant with post-traumatic syndrome named Thomas has nowhere to go, so he has to be homeless in London. One day, a Catholic nun offers him to live in an old house in the company of a young woman, Magda, and her terminally ill mother, who is locked on the second floor. Thomas helps with the repair of the house, gradually falls in love with the young owner, and it seems to him more and more that something sinister is happening here.
