Веронські скарби
Веронські скарби
In November 2015, one of the most audacious robberies of the century took place in Verona: 17 paintings were stolen from the Castelvecchio museum, including paintings by Rubens, Tintoretto, Mantegna, Caroto, Bellini, and even the museum's business card "Madonna with a Partridge" by Pisanello. The abduction was brilliantly staged, so it was not possible to catch the robbers hot on their heels. The police suspected that a person working at the museum was involved in the robbery. Information suddenly appeared that the canvases may be in Ukraine. Having learned about this, the director of the investigation department of the Ukrainian border service, risking his own reputation, begins his own investigation bypassing the official one.
