In 1944, soldiers forcibly took away all women from a Hungarian village. They are told that they are being taken to harvest crops in the USSR for three weeks, but in fact they are being taken to work in one of the Donbas coal mines. Among these unfortunates is the main character of the picture, Irene, who was forced to leave her six-year-old daughter and her parents and ended up in a labor camp, where human life was worth nothing. What helped Irene to survive, at what cost can a person survive hell on earth? The film is dedicated to the 250,000 Hungarian citizens deported to the USSR, of whom about 100,000 never returned home.
