The film, based on real events that happened several years ago in eastern Macedonia, tells the story of the town of Stil and an ancient tradition. Every January, a local priest throws a wooden cross into the river, which is then searched for by hundreds of men. Good fortune and prosperity will be the one who finds it. This time Petrunia somehow manages to get into the water and be the first to take the cross. Her rivals are furious - how could a woman take part in their ceremony? Everything seems to be flying, but Petrunia stands her ground. She won the cross and is not going to give it up.
