There are many bloody pages on the pages of Ukrainian history - there were civil wars, clashes with neighbors, and the struggle for freedom. Probably, no other people in the world fought so much for the right to be independent as Ukrainians. During the times of the Kholodnoyarsk Republic, it was difficult to remain indifferent to the uprisings that were taking place around. Ivan, nicknamed "The Raven", could not stand aside while people in his village were fighting for freedom. On one side of the scales there was family comfort and a peaceful life, and on the other - a fierce struggle for the independence of the native land. For the sake of the future of his relatives and his people, Voron chose the latter. Read more The project is based on the book of the same name by Vasyl Shklyar. Taras Tkachenko, whose credits include "Lovers" (2011) and "Dove's Nest" (2014), was appointed as the director of the film. The roles in the film were performed by: Taras Tsymbalyuk (TV series "Dog"), Oleksiy Tritenko ("Khaitarma" (2012), TV series "Passion for Chapai", "Under the Laws of Military Time"), Natalya Sumska ("Guard Outpost" (2017), TV series "Servant of the People"). The film will be released in Ukrainian theaters on December 5, 2019.
