The events of the film take place against the background of punk-rock London of the 1970s and tell the story of a young con artist Estella, a smart and resourceful girl who wants to make a name for herself in the world of fashion. She finds friends: several young thieves who share Estella's drive to outrage, and together they try to settle in London. One day, Estella's talent catches the eye of Baroness von Gellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly tall. But their relationship sets in motion a series of events and revelations that will force Estella to embrace her cruel side and become the nasty, fashionable and vengeful Cruella.
