Reimagining the beloved story for modern audiences, Robert Zemeckis' visually innovative film tells a mysteriously humorous and touching tale of a young orphan. At the end of 1967, he goes to live with his loving grandmother in the town of Demopolis, in the state of Alabama. When a boy and a grandmother meet some glamorous but actually evil witches, she wisely decides to take the young hero to an expensive resort by the sea. Unfortunately, they arrive there just as the High Witch is gathering - undercover - collegians from around the world to carry out her nefarious plans.
