Eugène Francois Vidocq is a real legendary person in the history of France. He was a brilliant criminal most of his life. Constantly new cities, new professions, and increasingly dangerous scams. He was caught more than once, but what he did best was to escape from prison. Such a life could continue for the Frenchman until his death (quick or not), but it all ended rather unexpectedly - the French government hired Vidoc as the head of the police department. It is his special skills that should help in apprehending or destroying the most dangerous criminals of Paris. Anyone who knows the world of thieves and murderers from the inside understands their psychology better than others. The roles in the film were performed by: Vincent Cassel ("Hate" (1995), "The Apartment" (1996), "Black Swan" (2010)), Olga Kurylenko ("Max Payne", "Quantum of Mercy" (both 2008), "Oblivion" (2013)), Freya Mavor ("Lady in Glasses and a Gun in the Car" (2015), "You die or we'll give you your money back" (2018)). The premiere of the film took place on November 3, 2018 at the Film Festival in Arras, France.
