The Farthest
The Farthest
40 years ago, two spacecraft - "Voyager-1" and "Voyager-2" - were launched 15 days apart. Since then, life on Earth has changed radically, and the Voyagers continue to fly and transmit the data of their scientific observations to their home planet. "Voyager-1" is the farthest man-made object from us (up to 20 billion kilometers) and one of the most successful scientific projects of mankind, which long ago deserved a monumental biopic. The farthest is a two-hour trip along the Voyager route to Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and beyond, to the borders of the Solar System. Both ships are carrying golden discs with a message for aliens - in case Voyager suddenly meets them on the way. The story of Voyager's mission is interwoven with the story of the creation of the message disk - because you are also interested in what information the earthlings chose in 1977 to send to their neighbors across the universe.
