After graduating from medical school, two sisters, the prudent Hanife and her complete opposite sister Hatice, live in a small, conservative town and work as nurses in the local clinic. As shy and withdrawn as Hanife is, Khatija is just as mischievous, headstrong and independent. Hanife is interested in literature and writes poems in a notebook, which she does not show to anyone. Hatice is passionate about singing. One day, Tarik, the son of the newly appointed head of the local administration, arrives in the town, and from that day on, the life of the two sisters changes completely.
