The 1970s of Soviet Ukraine. Political suffocation at the film studio. The curator from the KGB gives the order to re-edit the recently finished film of a well-known director, which covered the events of the Ukrainian "civil war" from a true perspective. And this contradicted the policy of the Party. Re-editing is entrusted to a trainee director who has just graduated from VDIK. The girl understands that she must protect the author's vision and historical truth. Love, politics, a dangerous task, friends and enemies are all her challenges.
