Herman has not been home, in his hometown in the east of Ukraine, for many, many years. But the disappearance of his older brother forced the boy to return to Donbas. It is unclear where Herman's brother is and what happened to him. In addition, the family business, an old gas station, was left unattended, which is what the boy decided to do. Local "businessmen" want to take over the gas station in order to do their business. And these people rarely work in peaceful ways. At the same time, he finds childhood friends and his love in his hometown. Herman considers it his duty in this God-forsaken place to protect the gas station and people close to him from the troubles that meet at every step. Read more The film is based on Serhiy Zhadan's novel "Voroshilovgrad", but differs slightly from the original source. The director of the project is Yaroslav Lodygin, who previously worked on the short film "The Golden Parachute" (2010). The film starred: Oleg Moskalenko (series "Major"), Oleksiy Gorbunov ("Holod-33" (1991), "Khaitarma" (2012)), Volodymyr Yamnenko (series "Major"), Ruslana Khazipova ("Ukraine, Goodbye" (2012)). The film will be released on November 8, 2018.
