The main characters of the film are Odessans who took part in hostilities in the ATO zone: Dmytro Olegovich, Yevhen Tytarenko, Roman Koldomasov, Yevhen Lata, Andriy Skorokhod, Viktor Pogodin, Dmytro Vasiliev. All of them are very different, and everyone has their own reasons for going to the front. Everyone has their own "war story": someone suffered severe moral and physical injuries, and someone even managed to find additional motivation for life and creativity in the difficulties they experienced. Someone is ready to return to the anti-terrorist operation zone and continue the struggle, and someone will never see their hometown again. Some heroes who returned to a peaceful life realized that the war was not over for them, as well as for the country. Because "own" can sometimes be no less cruel than "strangers".
