2014, an elderly lady (the outstanding Israeli actress Gila Almagor) is walking through the crowded streets of Jerusalem, the owner of a priceless cargo: stacks of yellowed letters from 60 years ago. Following her memories, we are transported to May 1945, when a newly released concentration camp prisoner, the Hungarian Miklós, was taken to a Swedish hospital on the island of Gotland on the lower deck of a ship. The doctor signed the verdict: the lungs are almost destroyed by tuberculosis and the consequences of typhus, 6 months, no more. But the diagnosis cannot break Miklós' will to live: he wrote a letter to 117 compatriot girls from his native Debrecen. One of them - the same, the main and only one - is called Lily...
