Forst is a wealthy, well-organized man. When we first see him, he seems to us the king of life. One day he quits the corporation where he works as a deputy director. The devastation he leaves behind gives no hope of return. Forest, 4:00 a.m., several years later. An overgrown, dirty, half-wild forest vagrant sets traps for game. We recognize him: this is the same person - Forst. He lives in the forest, in a dugout that he built himself. His friend is a crippled dog. A man eats what he hunts, lives in harmony with nature.
