Karol, an ordinary young man who encounters a much older man whom he believes to be the Red Spider - a terrifying serial killer who roamed the streets of Krakow in the 1960s. Karol becomes obsessed and follows him. Meanwhile, he meets Danka, a slightly older photographer who works for a local newspaper. Karol is simultaneously tempted by love and fascinated by death, but soon he will have to make the most important choice of his life...
