Будинок «Слово»
Будинок «Слово»
In 1928, a residential building for cultural figures of the Ukrainian SSR was built in the capital Kharkiv. Mykola Khvylovy, Ostap Vyshnya, Mykhayl Semenko, Anatol Petrytskyi, Antin Dykiy and others are moving under one roof. The building with multi-room apartments, a laundry, a dining room, a kindergarten and even a solarium should become an oasis for artists, but the opposite will happen. The intelligentsia specially gathered in one place will be repressed and destroyed. The "Slovo" house becomes the personification of the bloody Soviet system, and the residents of the house will later be called the generation of the "shot revival".
