Boundless Ukrainian forests have been hiding many secrets and mysteries since ancient times. Here, among the hundred-year-old trees, unusual mythical creatures live, and among them are Mavka, Dusha and the newly elected Guardian of the Forest. Her main vocation is to protect the Forest and its main treasure - the Source of Life - from any human encroachments. Lukasz is an ordinary village boy with a rare musical talent, which he fully invests in playing the flute. Lukash dreams of devoting his whole life to music. Thanks to her, the incredible happens: Mavka and Lukash meet and fall in love with each other. But at the same time, Mavka is faced with a difficult choice: love or her duty to the Forest.
