Each manifesto-monologue comes from the mouths of completely different characters in radically different circumstances: a teacher of junior classes in class, a homeless man, a TV presenter, a goth and many others. The director and screenwriter of the picture was the artist Julian Rosefeldt, for whom this project became the first full-length. Many have already noted the skill of Julian, who connected together 13 chaotic stories. All 13 manifestor characters in the film were played by Cate Blanchett. She was nominated five times and won the Academy Award twice: in 2005 for "Best Supporting Actress" in the film "The Aviator" and in 2014 for "Best Actress" in the film "Jasmine". In addition, Kate is known for the tapes "Elizabeth" (1998), "The Talented Mr. Ripley" (1999), "The Mysterious Story of Benjamin Button" (2008).
