Чужа молитва
Чужа молитва
An incredible but very real story of a young Crimean Tatar girl who saved the lives of 88 Jewish children during the Nazi occupation of Bakhchisaray. Saide is a teacher in a shelter for Tatar orphans. The boy Yitzhak, who is hiding from the fascists along with other Jewish children, turns to her for help. A difficult moral dilemma arises before the girl - should she help the children or, saving her own life, refuse them? Despite the mortal threat, the girl takes dangerous pupils under her protection and turns the little Jews into Tatars - gives them new names, teaches them language, customs and prayers. But will they be able to deceive the punishers and escape from death?
