The Bad Kids

BAD KIDS is an observational documentary, chronicling the mission of one unusual school principal interested in realizing the potential of students who the system considers missing. Adhering to the principle of documentary realism, the film tells the story of how director Vonda Wieland works with three at-risk teenagers over the course of a year - a boy who has just become a father and cannot support his family, a girl who is struggling with sexual abuse, and an angry young man from an unstable family - overcoming trauma and obstacles that rob them of their mental strength and put their high school diploma in jeopardy.
