Powidoki
Powidoki
The film tells the story of the outstanding artist, art theorist and teacher Władysław Strzeminski, one of the leaders of the Polish avant-garde in the interwar years. Stsheminsky was a constructivist, he opposed the socialist system, because of which he could not find a job. After returning home after participating in the First World War without an arm, a leg and with impaired vision in one eye, he did not stop drawing. Undervalued during his life, he ended it in terrible poverty. He died of hunger at the age of 59. It was to him that Andrzej Wajda dedicated his latest film, which became this year's candidate for the "Oscar" award from Poland. The film was released on January 13, 2017.
