The story of a talented 18-year-old boy whom Cornell University wants to have on its basketball team. The hero has everything to achieve success: he is an excellent player, succeeds in his studies, has been dating a girl for a long time and hangs out in a reliable company of friends. But the budding basketball star's future hangs in the balance because of his troubled father's gambling addiction. Despite constant quarrels and growing financial problems, the hero's mother tries to keep the family afloat, but it is not so easy to achieve this alone
