National Theatre: Les Liaisons Dangereuses

The former lovers of the Marquis de Merteil and the Vicomte de Valmont are desperate schemers; behind each of them is a trail of broken destinies. The new chosen victim is the young and beautiful heiress Cécile Volange. Valmont agrees to seduce her by making a bet with the marquise, although he himself is much more attracted to the beautiful Madame de Tourvel, who is famous for her impeccable reputation. While these aristocrats play ruthless games with other people's hearts, their own hearts are not as protected as they would like.
