Nine-year-old boy Icarus has a rather strange nickname Zucchini and a tragic fate. He used to live together with his mother. Unfortunately, their lives were not distinguished by particularly bright events. But the mother died, and the boy remained completely alone, closed in on himself. Minor Ikar is sent to an orphanage, sending a policeman named Raymond after him. At first, the man becomes the boy's only friend, only he maintains Icarus' connection with the outside world. In the shelter, the boy finds new friends, even his first love. But he is growing up - and soon he will have to go out into the cruel world.
