Nashville is the place where the entire country music industry is concentrated. The main character of the series, Rayna James, is a legendary country star who sold millions of albums and topped the charts, who in her forties began to lose popularity. Rayne's producers offer her to go on tour with a new star, little bitch Juliet Barnes. All of this takes place against the backdrop of an election race involving Reign's domineering father, Lamar Hampton, who once forced her to marry his protégé, Teddy Conrad, who is now living off Reign's money.
