Kokuriko-zaka kara
Kokuriko-zaka kara
Umi's father died during the Korean War of 1950-1953, when Japan entered the war on the side of America. He was the captain of the ship, and he loved his daughter very much. In his memory, Umi raises flags every day. The main events unfold against the background of the story of the demolition of the clubhouse. The events take place just in 1963, before the start of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Then the leadership of Japan maniacally got rid of the old houses built in the colonial style in order to show the world a new Japan. Here the students are fighting for the right to leave their history intact.
