Summer of 1943, German occupation. 17-year-old Romek works for a marauder and a drunkard, Leon. He is a vulnerable teenager: ordinary objects abandoned by Jews seem to him like treasures that must be saved. His peer, the German Guido, cannot and does not want to hold a weapon, but he is forcibly taken to the Wehrmacht. Fate quickly intertwines the paths of the two boys. The period of first love, disappointment and an important choice becomes even more dramatic, because the end of all this can be brought by one random bullet...
