Timbuktu
Timbuktu
When religious fundamentalists come to power in Timbuktu, the lives of ordinary people turn into hell, in which all entertainment, music, laughter and any attempt at dissent are forbidden. Far from all this madness, Kidan lives outside the city with his wife Satimov, daughter Toyea and their 12-year-old son, the young shepherd Issan. From time to time, they manage to lead a peaceful life, while injustice is perpetrated right next to them every day. Everything changes the day Kidan accidentally kills a local fisherman who slaughtered his beloved cow. All the evil of the world, from which the hero and his family wanted to stay away, falls on them.
