Grüße aus Fukushima
Grüße aus Fukushima
Marie, a young German, flees to Fukushima to change her life. She works in the organization "Clowns4Help" in the hope of comforting people who survived the nuclear disaster in 2011 and are still living in shelters. Marie soon realizes that it is not up to her to make this tragedy less exhausting. But instead of running away, Mari decides to stay with grumpy old Satomi, the last geisha of Fukushima, who has voluntarily returned to her ruined home in the radioactive Exclusion Zone. Both women are completely different, but each of them in their own way has become a hostage of their past and must understand how to free themselves from guilt and the burden of memory
