The Car Man
The Car Man
"Car Men" is based on motifs quite distant from Bizet's famous opera "Carmen", for which perhaps the most stunning classical score was written; for the Bourne performance, it was beautifully arranged by Terry Davies. Everyone knows the story from the 19th century and the tobacco factory moved to a run-down garage in America in the 60s, where the passions and dreams of the inhabitants of a small town are shattered by the appearance of a charming stranger. Fueled by heat and desire, the participants of the drama fall into an irreversible vortex of greed, passion, betrayal and revenge. Lez Brotherstone's incredible scenography, Chris Davey's expressive lighting design, and Matthew Bourne's ability to vividly and vividly tell stories created a convincing image of one-story America, which served as a backdrop for an incredible yet tense drama.
