The plot tells about the life of seventeen-year-old Joshua Cody, who after the death of his mother moves to one of the cities in Southern California. The head of the family, Janine Cody, takes care of the family business. She is helped in everything by Pope's assistant - Cody's older brother. The other sons try to help as much as possible. Joshua later realizes that his family's business is somehow connected to the city's criminal syndicate. Absolutely all of Joshua's loved ones are in mortal danger! Will the main character be able to change his loved ones and make them leave the dangerous path.
