The documentary in two parts tells about the history of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army of 1942-1954 through the prism of the testimonies of thirty-four eyewitnesses and direct participants in the events (out of more than a hundred interviewed). The creators of the tape offer to look at the Ukrainian insurgent movement from the perspective of "ordinary people", without pathos, hoaxes and propaganda clichés. Oral histories reveal an unconventional view of the nature of the struggle of the UPA, allow you to feel the atmosphere and spirit of the era, and immerse yourself in the whirlwind of turbulent events.
