Pomegranates and myrrh
Pomegranates and myrrh
Political upheavals destroy the lives of Palestinian newlyweds. Qamar and Zaid's honeymoon was short-lived - Zaid was arrested by Israeli forces for refusing to give up land in the occupied territories. Against the background of these upheavals, the free and energetic female dancer Kamar begins to feel a natural passion for her partner Kaisa, a Palestinian repatriate, which boils in an emotional dance. Things get complicated after Zaid's imprisonment, when Qamar grows closer to Kais. Their passionate relationship comes at the height of her desire to dance and break stereotypes about the prisoner's wife, family and society, while life under occupation continues.
