A little girl-poet, whom her father calls the boy's name "Mykola", tells three stories that happened in her village: about a football match, about a wedding and about a strange will. Mykola knows everything, because her grandfather told her about it - that lying is ugly, that a boy needs to be taken across water to be always faithful, that a movie in the sky is much more interesting than in a cinema, and that human life is like the flight of a golden fly over fire - just as bright and just as short.
