Ten prisoners, sentenced to lifelong exile from the planet XT-59, go on a dangerous journey through the Sargasso Swamp. The group is immediately divided into two parts: Erwin and Christy go in search of the Happy Islands, Yust leads the others to the Rotten Sea. However, for a long time their routes practically coincide. On the very first evening, Ervin understands that he must be killed - in his past life he held too high a position, and now he is dangerous for those who came to power. Having chosen Christy as his companion, he immediately tries to get away from the other members of the group in order to keep himself safe. On the way to the Happy Islands, the heroes overcome many obstacles. The price of this is freedom and happiness.
